Working Hours
  • Trackwork construction activities for the remainder of the project will start on 7/30/2025 and take place from 6AM to 7PM.
Site Testing
  • Various testing activities throughout the eight-mile project area.
  • Train testing is ongoing using a diesel locomotive.
    • Crossing gate arms or roadway flaggers will be active.

Hammond

Electrical Construction
  • Installing power service at multiple locations in Hammond. No impact to vehicular traffic.
  • Installing Traction Power Substation in Hammond MSF Yard. No impact to vehicular traffic.

Station Construction
  • Contractor finishing elevator at Hammond Gateway Station.

Munster

Road Closures
  • Ridge Road – 9/5/2025 – 9/7/2025
  • Fisher Street – 9/8/2025 – 9/10/2025

    • Installing fascia on pedestrian bridge.
    • Trucking operations on Allison Road/Columbia Ave/Sheffield Ave, minimal impacts to vehicular traffic.

Station Construction

    • Landscaping Activities

Dyer
