"West Lake represents the first extension of commuter rail in northwest Indiana. We applaud the bi-partisan support received from the Indiana General Assembly, the commitment of our local partners, and regional leadership provided by the RDA. Successfully meeting the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act is the first step towards qualifying this Project for federal New Starts funding. Improved transportation connectivity is our primary goal."
